    Service Advisor

    Summary:

    We are looking for a personable and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor Representative to join our team at Carmasters Automotive. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between customers and the service department, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient vehicle service operations. The Service Advisor Representative will be responsible for understanding customer needs, providing service recommendations, and coordinating vehicle repairs and maintenance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Customer Interaction:
      • Greet customers promptly and courteously upon their arrival.
      • Listen to customer concerns and gather detailed information about their vehicle issues and service needs.
      • Provide clear and accurate explanations of the necessary repairs and services.
    • Service Coordination:
      • Prepare detailed service estimates and explain the costs and benefits of recommended services and repairs.
      • Schedule service appointments and manage the workflow to ensure timely completion of vehicle repairs.
      • Coordinate with technicians to ensure accurate and efficient diagnosis and repair of vehicles.
    • Documentation and Reporting:
      • Create and maintain detailed service records for each customer, including work performed, parts used, and labor hours.
      • Ensure all service documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
      • Follow up with customers to provide updates on the status of their vehicles and inform them of any additional issues found during service.
    • Sales and Customer Retention:
      • Promote and sell additional services, maintenance packages, and products to customers.
      • Provide recommendations for preventative maintenance and schedule future service appointments.
      • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty.
    • Problem Resolution:
      • Address and resolve customer complaints and service issues in a professional and efficient manner.
      • Liaise with the Service Manager to escalate and resolve more complex issues.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Advisor, Customer Service Representative, or in a related automotive service role.
      • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and achieving sales targets.
    • Skills:
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to understand and explain technical information about vehicle repairs and maintenance.
      • Proficient in using service management software and computer applications.
      • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Knowledge:
      • Thorough understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures.
      • Familiarity with dealership service operations and warranty procedures.

    Education:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Additional training or certification in automotive service is a plus.

  • Tech State Inspector

    Diagnostic Tech or Tech with State Inspector License

    Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ASE Automotive Technician with a State Inspector License to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, as well as conducting thorough vehicle inspections in compliance with the Virginia State Police Safety Inspection program. As an ASE-certified professional, you will utilize your expertise to perform high-quality service and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Diagnostics and Repairs:
      • Perform accurate diagnostics on vehicles to identify mechanical issues.
      • Conduct necessary repairs and maintenance, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical system repairs.
      • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and resolve complex automotive issues.
    • Preventative Maintenance:
      • Execute scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and system inspections.
      • Advise customers on preventative maintenance to prolong vehicle lifespan and performance.
    • Quality Assurance:
      • Ensure all work performed meets manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
      • Conduct final inspections on serviced vehicles to confirm repairs have been completed effectively and safely.
    • Customer Interaction:
      • Communicate with customers to explain diagnostic findings, recommended repairs, and service options.
      • Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
    • Documentation:
      • Maintain detailed records of all services performed, including parts used, labor hours, and vehicle conditions.
      • Utilize service management software to update and track repair orders and inventory.

    Qualifications:

    • Certification:
      • ASE Certification required (Automotive Service Excellence)
      • Must have a valid Drivers License
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
      • Proven track record of successful diagnostics and repairs.
    • Skills:
      • Proficient with automotive diagnostic tools and software.
      • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
      • Excellent problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
    • Physical Requirements:
      • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in a vehicle fume environment.
      • Prolonged periods standing, bending, and working in tight spaces.
      • Ability to operate and handle various hand and power tools safely.

    Education:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Technical or vocational training in automotive repair preferred.

    Compensation:

    • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. Hourly pay ranges from $15 ($20 for Master/SI) to $35 (World Class/SI/Team Leader) plus/and up to an additional $40 per hour flat rate combination plan, yes hourly & flat rate combined with OT pay!!! The inspector will ensure that vehicles meet all safety standards and regulations to promote safe driving conditions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Vehicle Inspections:
      • Perform comprehensive safety inspections on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and motorcycles, in accordance with Virginia state regulations.
      • Inspect and test vehicle components such as brakes, lights, tires, steering, suspension, and emissions systems to ensure they meet safety standards.
      • Utilize inspection tools and equipment to accurately assess vehicle conditions and identify any issues.
    • Documentation and Reporting:
      • Complete and maintain detailed inspection reports, documenting any safety violations or defects found during the inspection.
      • Issue inspection stickers and certificates for vehicles that pass the safety inspection.
      • Provide clear and precise explanations to vehicle owners about any identified issues and necessary repairs to meet state safety standards.
    • Compliance and Regulations:
      • Stay updated with the latest Virginia state laws and regulations regarding vehicle safety and emissions inspections.
      • Ensure all inspections are performed in accordance with state guidelines and standards.
      • Report any violations or non-compliance issues to the Inspection Manager.
    • Customer Service:
      • Interact professionally and courteously with vehicle owners and drivers.
      • Answer questions and provide information regarding the inspection process and state safety requirements.
      • Offer guidance on how to rectify any safety issues identified during the inspection.

    Qualifications:

    • Certification and Licensing:
      • Must hold a valid Virginia State Inspector's License.
      • ASE certification is a plus.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive repair or inspection.
      • Familiarity with Virginia state inspection procedures and regulations.
    • Skills:
      • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
