The main way we distinguish cars is by their logo. Everyone knows what a Toyota logo looks like or even easier, a Ford logo. But how did these logos happen, did they appear magically? Well, no, every logo has a long history in the background and if you dig deep you will find that most of them were related to something other than cars.

Volkswagen - The Peoples Car

The Volkswagen logo, with its iconic "V" and "W" intertwined, is instantly recognizable worldwide. Designed in the late 1930s, it symbolizes the company's roots in Germany. The circular shape represents unity, while the letters signify the brand's name -"Volks" means people, and "Wagon" means car - the car of the people! Over the years, the logo has undergone subtle refinements, maintaining its timeless and minimalist appeal.

Mercedes-Benz - Luxurty In Two Words

The three-pointed star logo of Mercedes-Benz is a symbol of luxury, prestige, and engineering excellence - especially when it's placed on the hood of the vehicle. Originating in 1909, the logo represents the brand's dominance in land, sea, and air transportation. Ford - The Blue Oval

The Ford logo, known as the Blue Oval, is a testament to the company's rich history and enduring legacy. Introduced in 1907, the oval shape symbolizes trust, reliability, and innovation. The iconic blue color represents dependability and strength. Over the years, the Ford logo has undergone slight modifications, it always spelled the brand's name, to keep it unique.

BMW - German Rocket

The BMW logo, often referred to as the "roundel," is an emblem of precision, luxury, and engineering prowess. Developed in 1917, it showcases a blue circle with white quadrants, symbolizing the brand's roots in aircraft manufacturing - it's meant to illustrate an airplane propeller. 

Ferrari - The Italian Stallion

Adopted in 1929, the logo embodies power, speed, and automotive excellence.  It is inspired by the legendary World War I flying ace, Count Francesco Baracca, who adorned his planes with a prancing horse symbol. The bright yellow background signifies the city of Modena, Italy, while the black horse represents Ferrari's racing pedigree and passion for performance.
